WRTA - REGULAR COMPETITION DETAILS

A Senior team competition is offered twice a year - the Summer Season lasting from October to March and the Winter Season lasting from April to September.

A Junior team competition is also offered twice a year - the Summer Season lasting from October to March and the Winter Season lasting from April to September. The only difference to the Senior team competition dates is there is generally no play on school holidays.

All player standards are catered for.

Senior Competition Details

The Summer Season is usually held between October and March, with entries due by August. The Winter Season is usually held between April and September, with entries due by February.

The competition has its team entries graded on player/team ability by the Senior Match Committee and is currently run on a Saturday afternoon between 1.00pm-5.00pm. There is a $70 mixed team fee/$50 pennant team fee to register for this competition.
There are 2 formats offered: mixed format (2 men, 2 women) or pennant format (2 players).

  • The mixed format offers 2 men doubles sets, 2 womens doubles sets and 4 mixed doubles sets.
  • The pennant format offers 4 singles sets and 1 doubles sets.

Junior Competition Details

The Summer Season is usually held between October and March, with entries due by August. The Winter Season is usually held between April and September, with entries due by February.
The competition has its team entries graded on player/team ability by the Junior Match Committee and is currently run on a Saturday and Sunday mornings with 2 timeslots : 8.00am-10.10am and 10.20am-12.30pm. There is a $55 team fee to register for this competition. All players must be under 19 years old.
The format offered is a mixed format (3 or 4 player teams).

  • The mixed format offers 3 singles sets and 3 doubles sets.
